Educated in the St. Louis region he has a BA in Art Education from Maryville University, an MA in Studio Art and an MFA in Sculpture from Fontbonne University. So there is definitely an interesting story behind this composition, which is amazing!

Yeah....This was the first time I worked with beetles and I tried to push the limits of what I could do. I even turned some of them sideways in the eyes so the legs could be eyelashes. The beetles are reflective and as I moved while sculpting my motion was reflected and it looked like the beetles moved....caught myself getting startled. :)
